From Jamillah:
I want to thank you Daddy for being here for me, thank you for everything you taught me. I will miss you, I love you, and I will see you again in Heaven. Jamillah.
From Jabir:
A lot of who I am I learned from you; thanks Pops for everything!! Jabir.
From Art:
As a brother, Charlie McMillian was my best friend. He also taught me and others how to survive, how to eat healthy, and how to make a living. Thank you Big brother!!!!!!
From Alfreda: I met you when you were selling those Muhammad Speaks Newspapers. You had strong beliefs about life and what it took to make it down here. I remember you being one of the top sellers of the newspaper; always dressed sharp as a tack in your derby and overcoat. Take your rest!! Iknow when we all get together again you will have a word for us all!!
From Audrenia:
Thanks for being a "big brother" to me; one of the first examples of how a man should act!! I'm blessed to have known you!!!
My Way
And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this I did it my way
Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom-filled room Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love we once shared
Miss me – but let me go,
For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone. It's all part of the Master's Plan A step on the road home When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know; And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me – but let me go.
