Son of the late Pastor T.H and Lillie Mae Jackson on February 15, 1944, and departed this life on December 19, 2024. Being the son of a minister, Joseph gave his life to Christ at an early age. He graduated from North Highland High School before deciding to serve his country in the USAF. Joseph enlisted on June 3, 1963, becoming a highly decorated solider; he received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Tsgt Joseph H. Huffman retired from active duty after 24 years of service on September 1, 1986, and was assigned to retired reserve until June 3, 1993. To his country and his family, he dedicated his life. Joseph's daughter, Tammie Huffman preceded him in death. He leaves to celebrate his life, his son Jammie Huffman (Jane), Daughter Veronica Barlow; Granddaughters Jada Huffman and Knija Brassell; Grandsons Torin Barlow and Jevon Huffman; Great grandchildren Reign Collins, Jaxx Gray; Sister Marian V. Dozier (W. John); Brothers Lucious Huffman (Trinia) and John Huffman. Special Nieces: Alfreda Lewis, Felecia Huffman, Cynthia Huffman, AuDrenia Rodgers, and a host of other relatives and very devoted family and friends. Joseph will be eulogized by Rev. Anthony Parks.
