was born September 28, 1950, in Matthews, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Padrick Jackson. Her parents Elliot and Katie Mae McGhee Sr., three brothers: Elliott Jr., Jerry and Enouch McGhee, and one grandson Danny Hodrick. She peacefully passed away on April 13, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary Ann was the first of thirteen children born into a loving and close nit family. She joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church #2 at an early age and loved every aspect of singing ALL the time. She was the caregiver for all in need.

Mary Ann leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her daughter, Wiliimena (Roman Frazier), and son, Jerome McGhee, Grandchildren: Vernita McGhee, Anthony Williams Jr., Eric Abram Jr., Great Grands; Diamond McGhee, Damond McGhee, Te'yari McGhee, Jervon McGhee, and Shandricka Scott. Siblings, (Cora Tyson, Ella Sankey, Ernest J. McGhee, Leon (Tina) McGhee, Norman J. (Demetrius) McGhee, Norma (Billy) Perry, Diane Smith, Rosie McGhee; All in Montgomery, Alabama; Mattie M. (Richard) Coppin of Blythewood, SC. Two Uncles, LJ and James Jones Sr. of Montgomery, Alabama. She had hosts of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous devoted friends, and church members.
